Knowledge Exchange

FIAPO runs a Knowledge Exchange programme to enable organisations and activists get quick help and support. If you need to write a press release, or speak to someone about rescuing a dog, or get support for submitting your accounts - this is the right place to be!

To enable learning from experts (on legal issues, campagning, advocacy etc) - we organise workshops, that are open to all to attend.

We also run support services, of varying levels, that are available for a variety of issues. More information on this is available below.

Workshops

In an event organised by Blue Cross Sosciety, Pune and supported by FIAPO Abodh Aras spoke about how to set up a on-site treatment programme

4th January, 2013, Aluva, Kerala: Captive elephants and ABC for Dogs
Seminars on captive elephants and ABC for community dogs helped inform the participants on some of the urgent problems faced by animals in Kerala.

8th September 2012, Jaipur: First Aid, Rescue, Handling
Key in understanding how to help an animal when you see one (especially if you work with specific animals, this will help you broaden your understanding), and also for those who run helpines and shelters - how to improve what you are already doing well.

4th August 2012, Jaipur: Media Training
Every media encounter is unique and offers an opportunity for communicating your message. Some of the skills we will cover will include developing a message, answering questions, handling hostile interviews, being persuasive, reducing nervousness, sound bite creation amongst others.

We have made availale online a plethora of materials, tailored for the Indian animal protection sector, that will help from creating a campaign plan to submitting your accounts. Training videos, leaflets, research, reports, templates - are all available in our resource libraryIf you still cant find something, get in touch!

Get in touch: Sometimes, you just need to speak to someone - for advice, for support, or just to sound your ideas off. This service provides indepth information and practical support. It is useful to sometimes speak to someone about the issues you are facing - we aim for quick resolution and will link you up with experts based on your needs.
