With the aim of building skills at the grassroots level, FIAPO organizes trainings and workshops on a regular basis. While some workshops are meant for organisations, there are others that benefit individual activists.

Local federations in 4 cities undertake various workshops on themes of their interest ranging from skills on law and order, to improving the lives of farm animals to first-aid and rescue.

Apart from local workshops, FIAPO also conducts annual and bi-annual workshops and conferences. The India for Animals conference is one such example. Congregating a network of over 350 activists in the city of Jaipur, FIAPO conducted its most recent IFA in September 2014, engaging and inspiring people to take stock of the growing movement for Animal Rights in India.

In another ‘one of a kind’ national event, FIAPO recently conducted two national intensive training camps for young activists across India, called the Living Free Bootcamps. The aim of this training was to make the participants emerge with a variety of skill-sets to make them function not only singularly but also in a team. Through this platform, they were trained in a variety of skills – changemaker, organisational and ideological, to make their efforts for the animal rights movement in India more effective and impactful.

As many as 140 activists attended the trainings that were held from 18 – 20 September 2015 in Delhi and 25 – 27 September 2015 in Chennai.
