Who We Are

FIAPO is a federation of more than 200 animal protection organisations across India. We strengthen the animal protection movement in India by building capacity, sharing knowledge, enabling collaboration, and effecting change for animals.

FIAPO is the collective voice of the animal protection movement in India. We bring together activists, organisations and volunteers to liberate all non-human animals from exploitation and suffering.

Cultural DNA

WE ARE MANY

We are federative in spirit and action. We stand for all people and organisations that take action for all animals. We ensure that diverse views and voices are heard. We work with and strengthen all those who advance our mission.

WE PUSH BOUNDARIES

We encourage positive disruption in ideas and action to find solutions that meet current needs and shape the future for animals.

WE GET THINGS DONE

We – members, activists, volunteers, and employees – stand for FIAPO, at work and in life. This conviction drives us to break through every barrier, to effect lasting change for animals.

WE CARE DEEPLY

Our empathy for animals sets the tone for how we treat our employees, our members, our trustees, our donors, and all people with whom we interact. We listen with care and are respectful, even when we disagree. We are uniformly kind.

WE LEARN, WE KNOW, WE DO

Our work is shaped by what will demonstrably produce the greatest value for all animals. We openly share the evidence that informs our work. We build up our people and our members in knowledge and skills. We are fiercely independent, taking no sides except that of animals.
