Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations (FIAPO) believes in protecting the integrity and privacy of personal information gathered from our donors and visitors to our websites. This privacy policy communicates our measures regarding the collection and dissemination of personal information that can be linked to a specific individual, such as a name, an address, a phone number or an e-mail address or any other information provided to us by our donors and website visitors.

FIAPO does not collect any personal or contact information from our donors and website visitors other than that voluntarily supplied.

Your information may be used by FIAPO to share details about our campaigns, events, activities, local volunteer opportunities, alerts, and membership and renewal appeals.

FIAPO also uses information gathered via our websites to improve our web-based campaigns. FIAPO performs statistical analyses of aggregate user behaviour and characteristics in order to measure interest in and use of various areas on our websites. We use such information to improve our websites’ abilities to serve you better.

All photos, text and other content or information submitted by you to FIAPO shall become the property of FIAPO, and FIAPO shall have no obligation to preserve, return or otherwise make available to you or other people any photos or information so submitted.

As FIAPO becomes the owner of all photos, text and other content or information submitted by you, FIAPO and its officers, directors, employees, successors and assigns may use, reproduce, edit, display, transmit, modify, publish, prepare derivative works of and otherwise make use of the submitted photos, text and other content or information in any and all media – whether now known or hereinafter created – throughout the world and for any purpose, without compensation to you of any kind. 

By submitting any photo, text or other content or information to FIAPO, you hereby represent and warrant that the submitted photo, text or other content or information does not infringe on any copyright or trademark, any rights of privacy or publicity of any person or any other right of any third party. You hereby represent and warrant that you have the right to transfer the photo, text or other content or information to FIAPO free and clear of any claims or encumbrances.

You acknowledge and agree that FIAPO shall have no obligation to post, display or otherwise make publicly available any photo, text or content or other information submitted by you.

You further understand and intend that any photo, text and other content or information submitted by you to FIAPO may be available for viewing, rating, reviewing and commenting by the public. You understand that comments or ratings that you disagree with or are unhappy about may be published or otherwise become associated with any photo, text or other content or information that you submit to FIAPO. 

By submitting any photo, text or other content or information to FIAPO, you hereby waive any privacy expectations that you may have with respect to any such photo, text or other content or information submitted by you to FIAPO.

You hereby agree to hold FIAPO and its officers, directors, employees, successors and assigns harmless from and against—and hereby waive any right to pursue—any claims of any nature arising in connection with FIAPO’s use of the photos, text or other content or information submitted by you to FIAPO and used in any manner in FIAPO’s sole and absolute discretion.

Cookies and Pixels

FIAPO uses “cookies'' and pixels on some webpages. Cookies enhance a visitor’s experience by preventing the visitor from having to log in or provide information each time he or she revisits a webpage and by customising content based on a visitor’s interests. Pixels, often used in connection with cookies, are small blocks of code on web pages that perform functions such as allowing another server to measure viewing statistics for a webpage. Visitors can configure their browsers to refuse cookies or to be alerted when a site is attempting to send a cookie, although some pages will not function properly if cookies are not accepted.

FIAPO and third-party vendors, including Razorpay, use cookies and pixels to personalise advertisements based on their prior visits to the website and use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as the Facebook pixel) together to report how ad impressions, other uses of ad services, and interactions with them correspond to visits to our website. FIAPO also makes use of demographic information gathered via Google Analytics Demographics and Interests reports to personalise content and measure our success at reaching new populations of people. 

Depending on your settings and the privacy policies of social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, you might give us permission to access information about you from your accounts on those sites. We may provide personal information, like your e-mail address, in order to display our advertising to you on those social media platforms and other websites and to help us identify other audiences that are similar to you. We also make use of Facebook’s Custom Audiences feature, which enables us to display ads to existing or potential supporters via Facebook. We may also provide Facebook with personal information, such as your e-mail address, which allows the company to determine whether you are an account holder or not. Newsletters and E-News

You will only receive e-mail newsletters (e-news) from us if you have signed up for e-news on a FIAPO website or via a FIAPO online campaign. The information we gather from subscribers to our e-news lists (including e-mail addresses) is not shared with other organisations or companies not affiliated with FIAPO.

In order to provide you with better and more relevant information, we compile details about e-mail response and website usage. This information helps us to better understand site usage patterns as well as what types of content and information may help improve your user experience on FIAPO’s websites.

All e-mail messages sent to e-mail newsletter subscribers contain a link to unsubscribe or to modify your profile. You may subscribe or unsubscribe to any e-news or e-mail communication from FIAPO at any time.

Donations to FIAPO

Section 80G Eligibility

All taxpayers (individuals/companies/Hindu Undivided Families) are eligible to make donations to FIAPO under Section 80G and claim a deduction, subject to limits set down by the government. NRIs are also entitled to the benefits under Section 80G.

 

Sharing my information

FIAPO makes names, contact details, and PAN Numbers of donors available to government agencies for legal purposes. 

If you are not a donor and you have provided personal contact information on our website through the methods listed above, your information will not be exchanged with third-party affiliates. If you are a donor, please e-mail us at donorcare@fiapo.org if you do not want your information to be shared in this manner.
