GLOBAL LEADERS JOIN FIAPO – INDIA’S APEX ANIMAL PROTECTION ORGANISATION

FIAPO (Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations) welcomes the esteemed panel of critically acclaimed public figures of the Indian and Global Animal Rights Movement as its advisory board, to propel the animal protection movement forward in India.

Notable names on this prestigious panel include Justice (Retd.) Radhakrishnan (Supreme Court), who delivered the landmark judgement banning Jallikattu and introducing right to dignity in Indian law for animals, Dr Peter Singer, prominent philosopher at Princeton university, proponent of effective altruism and author of Animal Liberation which has influenced and shaped the modern animal liberation movement, , Mr V. R. Mehta, former Joint Secretary to the Government of India, former Senior Specialist of the Asian Development Bank in Manila, Philippines and a Consultant at the World Bank and the African Development Bank, Mr Hiranmay Karlekar, distinguished Indian journalist, author, Consultant Editor of The Pioneer, former Editor of The Hindustan Times, Dr Abdul Rahman, Executive Director and Past president of Commonwealth Veterinary Association, former Chairman of World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) Animal Welfare Working Group.
